Pilgrimage & Visiting

Opening and maintaining our Church buildings for Pilgrims and visitors is a key priority for our Parish. We therefore strive to keep all of our buildings open and available for everyone to come, see and pray.


St Tecwyn, LlandecwynSt Tecwyn is located above the village of Llandecwyn with a single track road from Llandecwyn up to the Church for vehicle access. There is a small patch of flat field for parking and turning opposite the Church but the road beyond the Church is unsuitable for motorised vehicles. Access is more or less on the flat but paths are either rough stone or grassed. For more information click here.

St Michael, YnysLocated a small distance away from Ynys, there is a sign post on the main road showing which single track road to take to visit the Church. A large flat grass area is located outside the Churchyard walls for parking and turning. Access to the church is on the flat from the parking area with a tarmac path through the Churchyard but there is a narrow kissing gate in use to gain access to the Churchyard from the parking area. St Tanwg, HarlechLocated in the heart of upper Harlech on the High Street there is limited parking available directly outside the Church.
A short distance away there is a short stay pay and display carpark called Bron y Graig. Whilst the Church is above the level of the High Street, the pathway is sloped and tarmaced from the High Street. For more information click here.

St Mary, LlanfairWhilst there is no car parking near by to St Mary’s Church, the lane outside can accommodate some parked cars. For more information click here.

St Tanwg, LlandanwgIdeally located very close to the beach, St Tanwg’s also has a pay and display car park located right next door.
Access to the Church is through the Lychgate with a stone pathway from the Lychgate and around the Church. Please remember that this is an ancient Church and the flooring inside is not perfectly level. For more information click here.

St Peter, LlanbedrParking is Limited within Llanbedr itself but access from the main road to the Church is on a slightly inclined tarmac path without steps. For more information click here.

St Ddwywe, Dyffryn & TalybontLocated on a wide section of the A496, parking carefully on the main road for a short time is permitted.
Access to the Church from the main road is on the level without steps. The gate to gain access to the Churchyard is located on the side road that turns off the A496 signposted for Bennar Beach.

St Mary & St Bodfan, LlanaberA large lay-by for parking is available by the council run Cemetery located next door to the Churchyard.
The Churchyard can be accessed through the Lychgate with one small step from the pavement level onto the concrete pathway of the Churchyard. There are is one small step to enter the porch of the Church but please remember that this is an ancient Church and the floor isn’t perfectly level inside. For more information click here.

St John the Evangelist, BarmouthA small car park for visitors is located right outside the porches. Further car parking spaces for visitors is available just under the church along Church Road. The porch closest to the mountain side of the Church has ramps available for disabled access. For more information click here.

St David, BarmouthOn-street parking is available for a limited amount of time around the Church. The closest car park to the Church is located on the promenade. There is a temporary collapsable ramp located inside the Church at the back on the right hand side to ease access for those who find the two steps difficult. For more information click here.
